Romans 8:28 ATC, Card, and Canvas: Week 11 of our GRATITUDE ART

Hello friends!
Today we are looking at Romans 8:28 for our weekly GRATITUDE verse.  For those of you who haven't stopped by before, click HERE to see what the GRATITUDE CHALLENGE is all about!

Most people recognize Romans 8:28, but do not see it in its context with 8:29, which is so rich I wanted to share it here:

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren;" ~Romans 8:28-29

All things aren't good. But God works all things together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. Our good is for us to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus; for us to become like Him. And God knows the BEST way to make that happen in each of His children. So thankful for the all-powerful, all-knowing God I love that will do what is needed to make me more like Jesus!

I really try to see everything that comes into my life as coming through His allowance:  be that pain, or suffering, or joy, or blessing.  It changes my focus from the bad, to the ultimate good he promises to use it for!  I am truly thankful to Him for this grace!

Here is the verse from Inspired Stamps stamped on my artwork for this week:

I am working through March with these Scripture Girls I've been creating on canvas.  Today before I share my finished work with you I wanted to show you a new product from Spellbinders I am absolutely crazy about:
They have all kinds of shapes and have an epoxy that you can use instead of the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, but it takes only 3 hours for the Mod Podge to dry and I was in a hurry so I used this.  Don't put too much glitter in if you want to see your word.  I honestly didn't have a clue what I would do with that little heart when I saw it, but today I knew I wanted to use it to create an image of my love for God.  So I used the word GOD from the ART JOURNAL WORDS AND FACES Inspired Stamps set, and got this:

Do you see the little air bubbles?  Be CERTAIN to use a toothpick to get those out before it dries or they will forever be part of it!

Here is my Gratitude Artwork on Canvas this week.  I wanted to demonstrate my submission to the Lord as well as my love for Him, as this verse intimates and here's what I came up with before I added the heart I made and after it dried and was mounted on the canvas:

How are YOU doing with your Gratitude ART?  Be sure to share it with us here or on our Facebook page to be entered in a chance to win this prize package:

  3. A pearl bracelet and a gold rose, it makes one think of the Pearl of Great Price and the Rose of Sharon. The canvas is chalked full of the Lord. Great work Antoinette.
