Inspired Stampers' Favorite Verse Collection #1....

Hello blogger-friends!
After reading through all the submitted favorite verses, I chose 4 verses to be part of the first Inspired Stampers' Favorite Verse Collections!!   It was REALLY hard to choose 4 verses and 4 winners, but I have chosen based on ones I have not made, do not have in production, ones I can see others wanting as well, and of course, I loved reading your 'whys'!!  There will be a Inspired Stampers' Favorite Verse Collection #2 coming in a few weeks, so be sure to try again if your favorite wasn't chosen this time around!

Before I announce the 4 winners, I want to encourage you to come back tomorrow because there will be WAY more than 4 that will be getting a stamp from me with this next challenge....as a matter of fact there will be more than 40 of you that will get a Free stamp from me in tomorrow's 1-Month-Anniversary post give-a-way!!!  Get your friends to stop by too....it's going to be like SNOW other give away you've seen one woMAN give before!! (hint hint)

So....Here are the WINNERS of the November 29th-Dec 15th Contest to share your favorite verse:
          Carol D aka Scrappykat said...
It's hard to pick just one favorite verse, but I guess one of my top choices would be Isaiah 40:31 But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. This verse always lifts me up when I need encouragement. I love the image of my Lord supporting the wings He gave me to fly.

Deneen said... One of my favourite verses, Psalm 62:5 "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him."
...because true rest only comes when I give things over to the Lord, and in return He fills me with hope.

Jean M said... I have a couple. the first is 2 Corinthians 5:8 "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." I love this verse for Sympathy cards.
          Krista Ritskes said...
Right now my favourite is "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has encough trouble of its own." Matt. 6:34. I have it on a nicely decorated paper on the wall in my kitchen. I love it because life is so busy and I can get caught up in all the planning and preparation for things I'm involved in. I need to remember that God is in control and although planning is important, how I spend today is more important.
Email me your addresses if you are one of the 4 winners WITHIN 7 DAYS FROM THIS POST and as soon as I get them made into stampsets, your FREE set will be mailed out to you!!!

A Card and a reminder: Contest ends TOMORROW 5pm!

Mark Praying is the first character I drew, so like a firstborn, he'll always have a special place in my heart!  Here I've colored him with Copics to match the colors in the rose paper around him.  I used a stamp from my Prayer collection of Bible verses that center around the subject of Prayer.  This was stamped on Tim Holz' grungeboard (love it)!  The card was finished with a ribbon rose, ribbon, and chocolate brads.

Be sure to tune into tomorrow night's post...I'll be announcing the winners of my Inspired Stampers' Favorite Verse collection #1..contest!  You have until 5pm Wednesday Dec 15th (Eastern time) to enter on my post dated November 29th!

Whimsical Tree Birthday Card

Know someone with a January Birthday?  How about a WHIMSICAL snowy scene?
I don't know what it is about this Whimsical Trees stampset, but I absolutely love coloring the trees!  The set comes with lots of trees at varying sizes so you can put some in the back on a hill or in the front!
I used the 1"circle sentiments stampset and stamped the solid circle stamp in yellow ink, then the happy birthday sentiment in black.
Coloring was done with Copic Markers and had I put the sun on there BEFORE I colored them, the shading would be in the correct part of the tree....too funny!
Have a great night and stay warm until I share a favorite Mark Praying card with you tomorrow!

So be sure to check back later)
I will be back tomorrow with a WHIMSICAL scene of trees to share!

Glory to God card...

Hello-blogger friends!
Today I have a card,  that combines 2 loves of mine...the Word of God and a wintery scene!!  I brayered the sky onto white paper with Distressing ink in 'broken china' blue.  I stamped the trees in black ink and tore the bottom of the brayered blue to create the snowy hills.  I then added glitter.
Stamps used:  Fir Trees and Trees and Leaves
The stars and Bible verse come from the Blessed Little Christmas stamp set.
Be the blessing,

Warm Gray VS Cool Gray (Have you entered the contest yet?)

Hello blogger-friends!
I took a whole slew of cards to the scrapbook store today to be used for displays of my stamps.  I had a customer ask me about the difference between the cool grays and the warm grays when coloring, so I wanted to share 2 cards I made, one with warm grays and the other with the cool grays
This first card is stamped with Mark's Tree and the 1 inch circle sentiments stampset. His hair is colored in cool grays.  Cool colors tend to go well with 'cooler' colors (like the blues in this card).  Blue is one of my favorite colors to use in my cards, so I tend to color in cool grays when I use grays.
On the next card, I used warm grays for Mark's hair and clothing, but a pale blue for the present that went with the paper.  The warmer gray actually will 'pop' more with warm colors, but as you can see is not off limits to use with blue, especially when the design on the paper contains warm gray.  Can you see how the gray in this card has more of a yellow undertone than the cool grays?

The stampsets I used here are Philippians 1:3 and Mark's Present.
I have a wonderful wintry scene for you tomorrow that you won't want to miss!

HAVE YOU SUBMITTED YOUR FAVORITE BIBLE VERSE FOR MY CONTEST YET????
Only another week until I select the winners! Click HERE to post.  Can't get the post to work?  Email me and I'll post it for you!
Until then, stay warm!
Blessings,

Pretty in Pink...

Hello blogger-friends!
My internet has been down and I could not post for Sunday night!  But I have one of my top-selling stamps, Sarah, to share with you tonight and she is so pretty in pink!!
I used Sarah and the sentiment from the Prayer set from the inspired stamp store
I colored her with Copic markers:
dress/lips:  R81, 83, 85
face:  E00,02, E20
hair:  Y15 Y19, YR22, E15
eyes: YG11, YG17, and G14
The paper is Core'dinates and is two-toned (love it!)
I used my 1"circle sentiments stamp,  2 buttons, 1 chocolate dot, and adhesive w/extra fine glitter for the 'flower'.  You can see it in a close-up here:
I'll do a photo tutorial on it for you later in the week. I came up with this because I forgot to get flowers and NEEDED ONE....necessity is the mother of invention, I hear! LOL
Ok, I can't NOT post this, because I love snow so very much and we had our first real snow this weekend. The first photo is of the snow--and I may have to use it for the inside of my Christmas Cards this year along with John 3:16 (For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whomsoever shall believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life)...the second is of Snowphie Paws (Sophie, my poodle, wanting in from the snow.  I just think she's adorable!)
Yes, that's a santa suit!
I'll be posting another wintery card for you tomorrow, with Mark's Tree!
Be the blessing!

Glass photo coasters with a twist...

Hello blogger-friends!
I am one of those people who get up to go shopping on Black Friday here in the US to get the best deals (and then I usually pay for it the following week with bronchitis, but that's a whole other story :o)
This year I found glass coasters, that you'd use to place under your drink, really inexpensively!
These had a space on the back where you could slide in a favorite photo!
I found that my 2x2 scriptures fit them perfectly!!
Here is what they looked like completed.  I turned one over so you could see where I slid the scripture that I stamped onto cardstock.
These will make really useful gifts!
Have a beautiful weekend and I'll be back on Sunday for my next post!
Those that are having trouble posting your favorite Scripture for my contest are welcome to email me and I'll type them in for you.
Blessings,
inspired stamping,
~Antoinette

Reusable Fir Tree Cards...

Hello blogger-friends!
I am so very excited that we'll be having our first BIG SNOW STORM this Saturday!
It has been a little difficult dealing with the cold, with a pretty good chest cold, but it's all worth it when the snow starts falling....especially as it piles up on the fir trees!  God truly is a Masterful Artist!!
Today I wanted to share with you a very simple idea that you can do with your own cards that you send out...
make them RE-USE-ABLE!
Here are Thank You cards I put in all the packages I mailed out this week for those who ordered from the inspired stamps web-store

The card is simple embossed white cardstock
I used a Spellbinders' Scalloped Oval die to cut the New England Ivy (CTMH) cardstock
Then I stamped the largest tree in my FIR TREES stampset using matching green ink.

Here's a close up with some STICKLES glitter on the top.
I didn't put a sentiment on the outside of the card, but I wrote a thank you note inside on a Sticky Note.
That way the recipients are able to take the note off, and write their own note inside the card
to send off to a friend or loved one!
If you do this, I highly recommend sending a matching envelope ( I stamped a tree and glittered it on the envelope for these gals, but forgot to get a photo!)
I will be back tomorrow!
Blessings,
inspired stamping,
~Antoinette
