Week #4 of our 12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations: FRAME IT!!

Hello Festive Friends!!
Today is Week #4 of our Christmas Creations here at Inspired Stamps and I am super excited to bring you this idea that is NOT NEW, but one I need to be reminded of time and time again.  You make a card or a tag or an Artist Trading Card and YOU JUST LOVE IT!!  You know the minute your non-crafting recipient receives it they will think it's adorable and not too long from then...well, let's just say our trash men aren't just collecting trash (they are collecting the hours we put into that piece of ARTWORK!).  So what to do? What to do?

FRAME IT!  Yes, now who is going to take that piece of FRAMED ART and trash it (ok, we all know those that would do that, but MOST of us wouldn't dream of it!!)  So no matter how small your creation, get a frame and frame it.... (these frames literally hold items no bigger than 3" x 4" and some are 2x3!!  Got them on sale at Hobby Lobby and Michaels has a bunch of the little ones on CLEARANCE this week!!).

Here's your inspiration for this week!  I'd love to see what you frame so be sure to post a photo of some artwork on our Facebook page if you do this:
I love to have Scripture around my home and studio...Framing on of our 2x2 Single Scriptures is perfect for a square frame like the one above!

Here's one I made for my daughter and it says May the Lord bless your day on the Let it Snow Snoman! You can see it better in the photo at the top of the blog.  I used Flower Soft for snow and even put a little in the bottom of the frame!  You could do the same with leaves, flowers, or birthday confetti!!
This frame is SO much more beautiful in person!  It came ivory and I inked it up with some distress inks.  Putting this frame by my computer reminds me to stop and give thanks!!
And this little HLO: Thankful Girl in her beautiful 2.5 x 3.5 inch frame is just PRECIOUS in her pink outfit!  She has a verse from the Love is... set that reminds me God not only loves, He IS love :o)

Giveaway this week:  Just leave a comment to this post and you are entered to win this set, so you can make your own!!
Be sure to come back Monday to see if you won.  All unclaimed prizes are going into the BIG GIVEAWAY at the end of the 12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations and we are already over $100 in products I've added :o)

Until then,
Be the Blessing!

12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations: Week #3 BOX IT UP!

Hello Festive Friends!

Are you ready for ANOTHER week of our Inspired Christmas Creations?  Today I have decorated boxes FILLED with cards---a great gift idea (who wouldn't send more cards if they were already made and organized in an adorable box?).

Here are the boxes I made (one for a man and one for a woman)...I got the boxes at Hobby Lobby and didn't get the brand name so I will come back and update that info once I get back over there:

Here's how I made them:

Using the Inspired Stamps 6x8 Colorable Letters and my Copic Markers I stamped directly to the top with Momento black ink on the man's box and onto paper for a softer look with the woman's box:

I used the sponging tool with the tea dye Distress ink around the entire boxes edges.
Then I stamp my pieces (I used the stitching and verse from the Bind and Stitch set..I love the way the stitches are so crisp!!)
Next I stamped and colored His Little Ones: Praying Boy and His Little Ones: Praying Girl using Copic Markers and cut them out (I wanted their outfits to look fuzzy, so I took the colorless blender solution on a paper towel and dabbed them after I colored them):
Next, I used some left over Petaloo flowers, ctmh opaques, and Michael's ribbon to glue all the items on the boxes:

Now for the inside, this clever box comes with dividers (yes!) and was ready for the cards I had made to fill it with (here are a few samples of those):

So what do you think?  Is this a project YOU might do for a Christmas Gift? Remember to Leave a comment to THIS POST and/or on our FACEBOOK page to be automatically entered in our Giveaway!  Those prizes that are NOT claimed will all be added into a FINAL GIVEAWAY prize package that will be worth over $100!!  So make sure you are commenting each week!  You have until SUNDAY MIDNIGHT to comment!

SPEAKING OF CHRISTMAS AND GIVEAWAYS....

GUESS WHO WON OUR DESIGN CONTEST FOR THE NEW Christmas His Little One's stamp set?!!

We actually chose 2 winners, as I used ideas from both of them to make not only HLO stamps but a new full-sized Winter Ruth character, that has the ability to hold several different items!!  I can't wait to share these with you but before that, I'm sure you wanna know who won the Free sets!!

Belinda K----You inspired a 4x6 set called Winter Ruth, with a brand new full size character Ruth!!  You wanted a character that has the ability to hold different items, and you got it!

and our HLO: Christmas Boy winner goes to...

Jamie M---You suggested Him holding a Christmas ornament (and I've drawn him this morning doing just that!)

Thanks to everyone who gave ideas both here and on Facebook!

NOW DON'T FORGET TO COMMENT HERE TO BE ENTERED TO WIN A PRIZE THAT INCLUDES ITEMS FROM THIS WEEK'S INSPIRED CHRISTMAS CREATION!!

I'll be back Monday to announce the winner!

12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations: Week #2 Bling it on with 1inch stamps!

Welcome to Week 2 of our 12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations and today we are BLINGIN' it on, with some great new products and a couple of our favorite Inspired Stamps Sets (1 inch Circle Sentiments and our 1 inch Snowmen, both found at the Inspired Stamps online store HERE).  I have more finished projects below...

REMEMBER TO LEAVE US A COMMENT on this post (you can also comment on our FACEBOOK page).  We would love it if you'd let others know about our 12 Weeks of Inspired Christmas Creations and our weekly Comment Giveaways by sharing on your blog and facebook page...if your friend wins one of our giveaway and has mentioned that YOU sent them in that winning comment, YOU will automatically win the same prize too!!

Today I used the following items from Epiphany Crafts and Inspired Stamps:
Let me show you how I made the items I created:
See the blackened circle on the stampset's carrier sheet above?  It is a solid clear stamp that allows you to match whatever color background you need like this:

I used Crystal Blue from the CTMH stamp pad for the background on this circle then stamped WARM WINTER WISHES on it in black:

You can also do this with different colors, like red.  I used a sponge dauber to ink up the edges on several of my pieces before using adhesive tape runner to glue the circles into bottle caps or the disk jewelry pieces:

Then I added the self-adhesive clear discs to the tops:

Here are some project ideas using this great new product:
In place of tags on your packages...
 On your cards...

As Jewelry...
As a sentiment on a tag...

Would you like to win a goodie package containing some of these materials so you can make your own Inspired Bling?  Just leave us a comment here by midnight Sunday night...we'll announce the winner in Monday's post!  Don't forget...let your friends know too...if they win and told us you sent them, then YOU win a goodie package too
