Today I took my art journaling time to put in all the finishing touches on this layout. You'll see the black lines are darker and I added more shadows with a black permanent Sharpie marker. I also used my white pen to fill in some highlights and some windows.

Day 22 I have decided to show you how to take a piece you love from your art journaling pages OFF the pages and into your environment. You'll notice there is no journaling on these pages. I loved the layout so much and felt the title (DWELL on these things) said so much I didn't want my words or thoughts to even be with the scripture. Dwelling is where we live. We are to dwell, or live with these things taking up our thought life. It's so beautiful and so true!

Day 20 of our 31 Days of March: Art Journaling Your Bible Study is one of my favorites with the HYMN: Church and Houses Inspired Stamps set and GUARD YOUR HEART verse Philippians 4:8. I Used Bazzill paper pack: Worldwide (we carry this in our online store!) and stamped the church and houses on different papers and cut them out:
I put them on this dylusions sprayed blue and purple page that I just LOVE, to see how I wanted them to be spaced on the pages. I also had already stamped the stitching around using the Inspired Stamps BIND AND STITCH.
I stamped the verse onto a piece of white cardstock:
and then decided to cut out each line to use, one per house (they are in order if you go top to bottom, left to right), and used the last line as my title because all of these verses fall under it! I can't wait to have time tomorrow to add the journaling and white pen to this layout! It will look so good when I am done, I can just feel it! I charcoaled around the houses to give them depth...

Before we have our holiday weekend, I wanted to share with you another house scene I made with Scripture I wrote, plus a couple of Inspired Stamps (HLO: Journal Girl and a verse is just above her from the GUARD YOUR HEART stampsets). I incorporated collage, pan pastels and acrylics into this:
Here's a close up of HLO Journal Girl (colored with Copic Markers and some colored pencil). Above her you can see the GUARD YOUR HEART stamp set verse I used. The houses are collage and a mixture of acrylic and pan pastels.
I made a canvas with a similar feel to it so I can keep it on the wall (Used Inspired Stamps: HLO: Thankful Girl in and PRAYER sets stead on this one)as well as some jewels to act as clouds/stars in the sky :

I really enjoyed just putting ONE or TWO words as the journaling! I captured all I was grateful for this week in a very short and concise way! Fun, too! I used Inspired Stamps ELEGANT DOTTY ALPHABET, COLORABLE UPPERCASE ALPHABET , ART JOURNAL WORDS AND FACES, AND BIRTHDAYS FOR THIS PAGE along with gel pens!
This week (Valentine's Week) I am going to focus on being grateful for LOVE...all kinds of love; foods I love or something I love or a way that God shows His love for me...we'll see how the week goes, but that's what I'm thinking now. Do we even begin to fathom all the ways He loves us and cares for us in a single day? I know we don't! It'll be fun searching for these things this week!
Here are my pages. I wanted to show you how to make the background paper just with this stamp! I was inspired by Gaby's cards here:
Here is what I did:
I stamped and cut out the paper and put it my 6x8 black background page. Then I took a white piece of paper and stamped the verse again(see below) before using the heart from GUARD YOUR HEART set to stamp over it:
I cut out the stamped heart over the verse and put glitter tape and a few jewels on the page:
And created these 2 pages to work with this week:
