Caring Cards: masculine card using an ink swiper + Inspired Stamps

Hello friends,
Today's post for our 52 Weeks of Caring Cards is a masculine card I made for my nephew who has his birthday on the 7th so I wanted to make it nice, but very fast.

I used an ink swiper for the background using these supplies:
Above is Inspired Stamps: BIRTHDAYS stamp set, Distress Ink, and the Ink Swipe
Below is one of our very first stamps we ever created years ago FIR TREES (still selling in the GodblessyourART etsy shop!)
Next I swiped the brown where I wanted the horizon line and then swiped the pink above that:
Next I stamped the tree in the center with CTMH New England Ivy, then stamped off the paper and back on without adding extra ink to get the 'forest' feel.  I  use a sticky note at the bottom so the trees in the forest don't stamp their trunks and look further away because of it:

Here is the final card, with Scripture and Happy Birthday from the BIRTHDAYS stamp set.  I used the side of my acrylic block to have some shooting green lines down the page (a great way to disguise a mistake where the block accidentally transfers ink when you stamp is to make it part of the design!):
Thanks for stopping by!
We have Scripture Memorization in a Grateful Journal I'm about to post over on the GodblessyourART blog.

Tomorrow is our uber talented Inspired Stamps Design Team post here.

Friday is NEW STAMPS FRIDAY and there are new stamps coming into the etsy shop at noon!  And I'm sharing a couple projects on the GodblessyourART blog in Bible Art Journaling, including the next pages from my handmade 16 page journal on Romans chapter 1-3!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a blessed day!
Antoinette
