52 Weeks of Gratitude: Week 4+ February Verses

Hello friends!
Can you believe we are entering our 4th week of our 52 weeks of Gratitude?  We will be drawing our winners for a free stampset of their choice and announcing them in our NEXT 52 Weeks of Gratitude post!  Be sure to go back (all Mr Linkys are still open for you) to post YOUR gratitude artwork for each week so far and increase your chances to win.  You can find ALL of our 52 Weeks of Gratitude posts by clicking HERE.

For those of you who haven't started yet...ITS NOT TOO LATE!  Why not make FEBRUARY a month of Gratitude and join us for that month?  Here are the verses we will be using beginning next Sunday:
Feb 3:  Ephesians 5:20
Feb 10:  2 Cor 13:4-8
Feb 17th:  Philippians 1:3
Feb 24th:  Deuteronomy 31:8
If you want to use our stamps, this set (shown above) is in very limited supply and can be found HERE while supplies last!

Before we get to today's verse and artwork, I want to share the filled in Gratitude Art Journaling Pages I completed the journaling in for last week, already in my binder!:
You can see exactly how I made these pages in a tutorial I shared LAST WEEK HERE

This week's verse is showcased so well in the Sunday Scripture Design Team's Artwork:

So very lovely and so VARIED!  It is what I love so much about art and the many beautiful forms it can take.

This verse is a favorite of many, and I am included in the many!!  It reminds us that it's the LORD who is our strength and shield and that when we TRUST in HIM, we are helped!  How many times do we go through something difficult and get our eyes so focused on the problem, that we forget where our strength and help come from?  We need to TRAIN our eyes to look up FIRST, and to keep our focus on HIM.  It is then we can find purpose in our difficulties, and our burdened hearts can through prayer, supplication...and THANKSGIVING be helped!  So this week we again focus our eyes on HIM and give THANKS for the blessings that are so many we can't possible count them....but we are certainly trying!

I have decided to make this week a DOODLING week for my pages.  I have started off with just our verse stamped onto a white piece of cardstock, trimmed and added to these 2 Simple Stories papers.  Each night when I am journaling what I am grateful for I will spend a little time doodling with different sized black WATERPROOF markers (I may add glimmer mists before you see them again next Sunday, so I'm preparing with my doodling in waterproof markers):
I LOVE the blank pages....OHHHHHH the possibilities this week holds!! I made my first 'mark' by outlining the verse in black sharpie marker.  I know if you want to join me on Doodling, this white, clean page may be more intimidating than helpful, so I have taken a couple of photos of other pages I've done with doodling and lettering to help you get SOME kind of idea where to go.  I used watercolors and/or glimmermists after all my blackline work was complete.  I  will take a photo of the black line only and any color I add as I go through the week on this week's Gratitude post, so be sure to come back next week and see what it becomes!

Be sure to share YOUR artwork in the MR. LINKY below OR on our Facebook page!!  We love to see what YOU are doing!!
Blessings,
Antoinette and the Scripture Sunday Design Team

  2. Somehow I mixed week two and three up, but I was thankful. I am using pockets and will flip the pocket page. The tag will eventually be day 7 with the scripture for the 2 weeks side by side. I am also wanting to try some of your new tecniques. Carole

  3. I caught up today on January's cards and the widget box was there to leave the link to my splitcoast gallery. Hopefully I keep up better in February. I am enjoying this series on gratitude.
