Today I have a Friday Faith Altered Art project to share with you! I was at my local scrapbook store and found this Beyond The Page MDF Storage Drawers and knew I had to have it for my studio!! Here's what it looks like assembled (My only dislike with this project: You must be VERY patient as it comes with no instructions and some of the pieces require a little elbow grease to get them to 'fit'; I used a hot glue gun to make the drawers):
So once I got it put together, I decided to play with the hot glue gun and made swirls with it on the drawer fronts. I then used acrylic paints to paint it. Grabbed the Distress Inks (black and tea dye) to 'age it' after 'partially' stamping it with 2 inspired stamp sets (Psalm 91 Protection and Names of Jesus), shown after the photos of my finished project:
Here are the 2 stampsets I used, Psalm 91 Protection is the first one and the 2nd one is one full background stamp (one of my favorites!), Names of Jesus:
I hope you have a wonderful, safe 4th of July weekend!! I'll have more artwork up shortly!
Be the Blessing!

ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!! Working on my project & new crafting space in my basement. My project is called crafty and green and I'm only using things that I already have and/or buy used or get donated! I'm going to take this idea and use it for inspiration on a piece for my area. I don't have these stamps, but I will have to make do!!

Tina
