Wanted to share an old favorite card of mine that shows 2 stamp sets from the inspired stamps online store (Colorable Uppercase Alphabet (each letter/number is about 1" tall) and 1"snowmen (which has 12 1" colorable snowpeople ).  I've been in such a 'Christmas in July' mood since our temperatures are topping upper 90s here in the midwest!!

Winners and a Christmas Card Class I'm teaching!

A HUGE giveaway coming next week in honor of the big Craft & Hobby Show I'll be attending in Illinois! More details in this week's Design Team Thursday post...

We have 4 winners chosen for the Inspired Stampers' Favorite Collection #2 who will have the verses they submitted made into a stampset for the August Release!!  I want to thank EACH ONE OF YOU who submitted verses for this contest.  ALL of God's Word is equally true and wonderful, so when I go about choosing winners, I go with what fits well onto the one stamp set and what is not already in production to be a stamp set (for example, I have a musical stampset already in the works and some singing His Little Ones already designed, to I didn't choose any singing winners---but the good news is that there will be some stamp sets coming to the inspired stamps store soon you will enjoy!)

Now I have a card I want to share with you that I am teaching similar ones in a couple classes the end of this month.  I'm calling the class Stackin' Scrappy Scripture Cards, and I'm teaching people to organize their scraps by colors and then create cards with stacked scraps under their Scripture.  Here's a basic card from the group I'm teaching:

Contest: Get your favorite verse made into a STAMP!!

Hello friends!  **Due to this contest, the Design Team's artwork will be posted on Sunday!**
It's time for the Inspired Stamper's Favorite Collection #2...and that's where the CONTEST comes in!!

You have through this Saturday, July 9th midnight ET to submit YOUR favorite Bible Verse.  If we select your post (several people may have the same verse, so we will actually choose someone in that case), you will get a copy of the full stampset---including your verse and the other winners' verses--- FREE!! As soon as we have it made and packaged, it will be shipped to your door!!

Here are some guidelines that will help us to choose winners for this:

1.(Please use the New American Standard Bible or King James Version when typing out your verses!).  BE SURE TO CHECK THE ONLINE STORE TO SEE WHAT WE CURRENTLY ALREADY HAVE AS A STAMP SET!  We want verses we 1...don't have already as a stamp, 2...don't have plans yet to use in an upcoming set, 3...verses that you LOVE and would love to see as a stamp set!

2. You must be a FOLLOWER of this blog and/or someone who has LIKED us on Facebook.  New followers/'likes' welcome!! 

3. We would love for you to let others know about this contest on your blogs or Facebook pages, and a BIG THANK YOU if you do, but this is optional!!  Feel free to copy our photo above and paste it on your blog, if you like!!

God Bless America Card with Scenic View ...

If you are from or in America, Happy Independence Day to you!!  I am so excited to share some artwork with you today from one of the newest inspired stamps...SCENIC VIEW.  Here is what the stamp set carries:

Each piece is separate so you can make paths, sunsets, beach scenes, mountain scenes, skies with different clouds, rocks, creeks, rivers, (and riverbends because the stamps bend!).  Add grass where you like it, with as much as you like (little tufts or longer strands).  This set comes with 15 different stamps for $13.99 in the store HERE  Wanna see one way to use some of these images?  Here's my card for today:

I also used one of the newest additions to the inspired stamps store, His Little Ones: Patriotic girl with heart!  I colored much of this scene with distressing inks then copic markers.  I did a bit of airbrushing for the sky, too.  The phrase, God Bless America (and Thank you for your service (below) is from the MILITARY set and the star carrying the United States of America and this inside verse is from the Psalm 91 Protection stamp set:

Altered Storage Drawers

Hello friends!
Today I have a Friday Faith Altered Art project to share with you!  I was at my local scrapbook store and found this Beyond The Page MDF Storage Drawers and knew I had to have it for my studio!!  Here's what it looks like assembled (My only dislike with this project:  You must be VERY patient as it comes with no instructions and some of the pieces require a little elbow grease to get them to 'fit'; I used a hot glue gun to make the drawers):

So once I got it put together, I decided to play with the hot glue gun and made swirls with it on the drawer fronts.  I then used acrylic paints to paint it.  Grabbed the Distress Inks (black and tea dye) to 'age it' after 'partially' stamping it with 2 inspired stamp sets (Psalm 91 Protection and Names of Jesus),  shown after the photos of my finished project:

Here are the 2 stampsets I used, Psalm 91 Protection is the first one and the 2nd one is one full background stamp (one of my favorites!), Names of Jesus:
