12 Weeks of Christmas Tutorials: Week 1: the PERFECT gift to give your papercrafting friends!!

Hello friends and welcome to our annual 12 Weeks of Christmas Tutorials!!  This year we will be including our His Little Ones characters in each of our 12 weeks, as they are some of our most popular stamps and we love how much you love them because we love them too!!

GIVEAWAYS will be WEEKLY!!  We will be posting a new week's tutorial sometime each weekend (between Friday-Sunday) and we will start each week off with the WINNER from last week's tutorial's comment that is randomly drawn each week!  We rely on your recommending Inspired Stamps to your friends for this, so thanks to all in advanced who let your crafting friends know about us and our 12 Week's of Christmas Tutorials!!

THIS WEEK's GIVEAWAY will be THIS WEEK's TUTORIAL finished product along with the HLO: Thankful Boy stamp set!!  All you have to do is leave us a comment on this post OR on our FB post tonight that sends you here!  Here we go:

THE PERFECT GIFT you can give your papercrafting friends is your own handmade embellishment set!!
Here is the finished product:
In order to make this you will need:
*a piece of transparency or acetate slightly smaller than your resealable bag
*resealable bag (I get mine from clearbags, but a sandwich bag would work well too!)
*foam pieces for the backing
*assorted stamps (colored and cut out; matted if desired), buttons, and sparkles

Here's how easy this is (and honestly it's one of my FAVORITE gifts to receive from my crafty friends!!):
1.  color and cut out your stamped images (we use all Inspired Stamps images...no surprise there!)
2.  adhere foam backing to each piece
3. cut your acetate/transparency piece to fit into your bag (trust me, test it out first...I've learned not to put the items on a piece until I've done this)
4.  layout your items in a visually pleasing manner and add the foamed pieces to the acetate/transparency:

5.  I seal the bag and then add a tag from the TAGS Inspired Stamps set to personalize it and make sure the friend knows I made this for them:

I like to make mine seasonal and coordinated.  For example, I knew I would be giving this away to someone in early October (maybe YOU...remember to leave us a comment!  We'll pick the winner next week when we put up week 2's tutorial) so I made this set so a fall card or scrapbook page could be made using these embellishments.  Here are some other ideas:  BIRTHDAY themed, SYMPATHY themed, THANK YOU themed, CHRISTMAS or EASTER themed...etc.  If they are a BEST friend, why not make them a bunch of these?  OR...give them a blank calendar and make 12, one for every month?  I would LOVE that!!  Wouldn't you?

Thanks so much for stopping by today and visiting us!
We love making clear stamps for you to enjoy AND sharing fun and very doable Christmas Tutorials!
I'd love to see what you make if you are inspired to go make some of these of your own!   Post your photo on our Facebook wall or you can email us at inspiredstamps@gmail.com
