Hello and welcome to Day 3 of our 31 Days of March: Art Journaling your Bible Study series. If you are just joining us, be sure to click on the logo to the right in the blog so see all the previous posts, which will give more art examples and explain what we are doing here this month and how YOU can participate!
Today I wanted to expand our backgrounds we have been exploring by adding a collage element and an extra Bible verse that supports the main verse.
Here are the pages with just the ART:
I used dylusion spray inks and stencils, modeling paste, Inspired Stamps (new Hymn Girl: May coming out next week plus the black circular images are from the FLOWERS VALUE set and the black solid bubble wrap images are from the BACKGROUND STAMPS). I also used Bazzill paper to create a table with books on it, because I absolutely love to read. And the word BIBLE I stamped with the Inspired Stamps set: Solid Alphabet Uppercase.
Next I went through our process:
1. Read the psalm in its context
2. Choose the verse(s) and write them from the Bible
3. Create the Art
4. Add the Journaling:
1...WRITE THE VERSES (or stamp them):
2. TRUTH FROM THE TEXT (using God's Words, no summarizing here, definitions are helpful):
3. TRUTH APPLIED: The 'so what?' / Application part:
And a final look at the two page spread:
Our Day 4 will have a tutorial on using your scrapbook or patterned paper in whole new way!
Leave us a comment and let us know you were here!
Blessings,
Antoinette Shipping most orders out SAME DAY they are placed!
