Easter Cards + Winner announced from New Stamp Release Post!

 Hello Friends,

It is TIME to begin making those Easter cards!  There are two times a year, in particular, where we get to share Jesus with those we love through a 'holiday card' and it's usually well-received, even by the most resistant to Jesus and Scripture that we know:  Christmas and Easter.  It is a time to get Scripture into cards because we know that 'faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of God', so join me in making cards with God's Word in them and sending them to those who love the Lord as encouragement and fellowship, and those who have yet to know Him!

I will start us off this week with a card I made that uses our brand new HYMN GIRLS: MARCH, who is holding a cross next to her heart.  I simply took some distress ink in tye dye and sponged the left and right side of her quickly to give her color (love these new Hymn Line stamps that are THAT easy to add color to and use!).  I also used Inspired Stamps: ELEGANT EASTER for the outside verse and the main sentiment inside.  I used BIND AND STITCH for a stitched look around the outside of the pieces.  I always add the Scripture that gives the gospel in a card to those who do not know Him...'for it is the power of God unto salvation' (Romans 1:16).  This stamp is one of the Single Scripture Stamps: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4.  All of these stamps and more  can be found under the EASTER category on the online store by clicking here:
http://www.inspiredstamps.com/servlet/the-Easter/Categories
In the piece at the inside top of my card I used Momento ink: London Fog and stamped one time on a piece of scratch paper and then the 2nd time without reinking to get the 'shadow' effect of the 3 crossed above the stamped Scripture (shown above)  I inked all my edges in this card with Distress Ink: Tye Dye.

This is the sentiment that comes on the ELEGANT EASTER stampset and I love using it!

Here are the other BEAUTIFUL Easter Cards made by the Design team this week:

Jamie starts us off with this beautiful Easter card using HYMN GIRLS: MARCH and one of our Single Scripture Stamps, John 14:6

Next up is Deneen, who used some beautiful patterned papers and then showed us how to add stamped embellishments to bring great color to it using elements from Spring Sketches and 1" Circle Sentiments:

Chere made a couple really lovely cards using HIS CROSS stamp set:

Belinda showed us HYMN GIRLS: MARCH also, with a very springy color choice!

And our newest design team artist, Shanta, used HIS CROSS stamp set as well for her Scripture in this lovely card:

Thank you all for your beautiful cards to inspire us to get started on our own and, the key being, mail them out :o)

We have drawn our winner from last week's new Stamp Release comments and the winner is...

Design Team SETS OF CARDS! + DT CALL EXTENDED TO FEBRUARY 14th!!

Hello friends!
Today my father-in-law will be laid to rest after a long battle with Alzheimer's.  He was a wonderful man who served in the US Army and retired, then served in the Police force as a crime scene technician, and retired.  Always there with a smile and a big hug, I miss him already!  Today I thank God for the 25+ years I got to spend with him, and the hope I have to one day see him again in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Design Team have these beautiful card sets for you on their blogs under THURSDAY JAN 30th posts on their blogs, so be sure to go see each card shown in close up on their blogs.  Kary had each card photographed so you will see all hers here instead of a set.

Belinda started us off above and here is another view from her set where she used our BIRTHDAYS stamp set:
Chere used Spring Sketches and Perfect Sentiments:
Deneen used Isaiah 41:10 (a  $3.99 Single Scripture Stamp set):
Jamie used BIRTHDAYS:
Kary used 1.5inch Circle Greetings:

Patty used FALL GRATITUDE for her cards:

Beautiful cards, ladies!!

Day 10 Stamping Mixed Media: Packaging!

Hello friends!

Today I have a very mixed media stamped packaging idea for you!  I have so many graduation gifts to present this year and neither of my own have a graduation until next year!!

Hayley is the first, and she graduated from college this past Sunday.  She's artsy so I wanted to do something artsy for her!

Here's how I wrapped her present and addressed her card:
First I taped the kraft wrapping paper to a big black board (it wanted to curl!):
Next I used some dark gray color mist to squirt some subtle pattern using this mesh a student gave me last year:
I also used one of the graduation caps to glimmer mist some gold color (school color):

Then I randomly stamped some flowers from the INSPIRED STAMPS:  Spring Sketches set on it:
I wrapped the package and added washi tape, sparkles, a prima jeweled flower and some graduation stickers to finish it off.  Hayley, was stamped using our most popular alphabet stamp set:  Elegant Dotty Alphabet:
Lots of different embellishments on this packaging!
Wednesday I have some great layering to show you with several different media on canvas so be sure to come by and see it!
Blessings,
Antoinette

Day 8 in Stamping Mixed Media; Flower pots!

 Hello friends,
Today I have a simple way of stamping on something you may not have tried:  Clay pots!  I used momento (if your pot has a shiny coating, you'll want STAZON) and put the clear stamp into the ink, then using my fingers I just pressed the clear stamp onto the pot (so no block):

Mother's Day is Sunday and what mom wouldn't love a Bible Verse or using letter stamps, the name of the spice, stamped on the outside of the herb or flower pot?

I'll be back tomorrow with more for you!
Blessings,
Antoinette
