Caring Card Tuesday: Set of Cards!

Hello friends and welcome to another of our Caring Card Tuesdays in 2015!  Today I have a set of 4 cards (so proud of myself, they are already written in and sent out!) using only one stamp and one 6x6 BoBunny paperpack!  Here is the Inspired Stamps set that I used:  THANK YOU

Day 9: Journaling in your Art Journal

Hello friends!                                                         
Today is a Journaling Day in my art journal!  I love to take the truths I'm learning and get them down so I don't forget them!  Today I am working with a couple of cross references in one of the bible studies I am in dealing with God as Creator and The Word of God standing forever!  You can see all previous Art Journaling your Bible Study posts to the right of this post on the blog!

Above was one finished background and then the one that came from a background I was NOT happy with at several points in its development:  First I used stamps from the Inspired Stamps:

I'm playing with being not particularly fussy with my letters.  Most of my art journal pages are done with my typical handwriting style when I art journal (which I am comfortable with) that look like this one, but takes me much longer:

Day 8: Using stencils and one stamp set for your art journal background

 

Hello friends,
Today is one more background post before Sunday's addition of the two Journal parts of our art journal.  If you missed yesterday's post on using stencils with the pages that you get a peek of above OR if you are new to our blog and this series, please click on the photo of our 31 Days of March: Art Journaling Your Bible Study on the right of this blog to get all the previous posts!

I was playing with the sprays and stencils here:

 It is just a big ole mess in my eyes, but I don't stop even if I dislike something cause I can always gesso over it later LOL:                                              

 I decided to use the THANK YOU SET I used yesterday and put in some of the colorable ferns around the page and some of the circles at the bottom.  Wow, now I really am hating this very busy spread!  But...I keep going:                                  

I colored in the ferns around, added some blue water to the bottom, and now that orange stenciled girl looks like the sun in my water filled, landscape....PERFECT to use with a cross-reference in one of my Bible Studies on God in creation!

To see how I work this out, you will have to come back Sunday to see the final page of today's and yesterday's, all filled in with journaling!  From ugly to purposeful!!  BAM!

Day 7: Making your OWN stencils from die cutting machines

 

Hello friends!                                                             
I am spending today and tomorrow working on backgrounds, so you will see these completed with the journaling on Sunday's post!

I used they dylusions spray ink on the background:

 

I have been stamping and cutting out letters using my Brother Scan-N-Cut with the new Sketchy alphabet that is coming out THURSDAY in our new release!  I LOVE being able to stamp a sheet of letters and have them cut out within a couple of minutes by this machine!  BUT if you have a different cutting machine, you can use the 'scraps' from the images you cut for your stencils in your art journaling pages!

 Used some white to tone it down; had to go over it later with a little gesso, it was too strong for my background.  Then I used white to spray through the numbers.  If you mind little bits of purple mixing in with the white ink as you do this, use a paper towel to wipe the stencil down after you use the purple (you can also dry it)

NEXT, I used Inspired Stamps set: THANK YOU as my stamps:

 I chose the one solid leaves stamp with black waterproof ink to stamp all around my page:

 

 

 Next, I added flowers from the set and colored them with the dylusions spray ink using a water brush filled with the pink spray ink.  You'll see to the right I stamps on punched round flowers from patterned BAZZILL paper:

 

It is ready for my JOURNALING MY BIBLE STUDY part!  You will see it on Sunday!
