Day 28: Finishing your art journal: Mass STAMPING part 3

Hello friends!
I hope you take a few minutes to see what the Design Team made with their monochromatic cards in today's DT post!  So beautiful and inspiring!

Today as we finishup our 31 Days of March: Art Journaling Your Bible Study, we are getting our backgrounds finished up!  We had Day 26 where we went through whatever is left of our journal and used paint or dylusions spray ink on each page, in one two or three colors....full pages and little spritzes!  Day 27 we went back with stencils and water, white ink, or different colored inks and created dimension!  Today, we will take stamped images and create the final part of our BACKGROUNDS (Day 29 we add foreground stamped images or paper piecings to our pages!)

Here is the stamping I did on the pages I showed you in Day 27:

I used FIR TREES, BACKGROUND STAMPS, and BIND AND STITCH clear stamp sets from the online store for all of these I'm sharing.

It just adds one more layer to our backgrounds!

Finish up your month by adding your Scripture and Journaling to your remaining pages and you'll have 31 Days of Art journaling all finished up!!  We hope you have enjoyed our 31 Days of March: Art Journaling your Bible Study with us!!  Be sure to head over to www.Godblessyourart.blogspot.com to see 31 Days of Christian Art Journaling I did a couple of years ago if you want more inspiration!

Day 27: Finishing your Art Journal: Mass backgrounds INKING part 2

Hello friends,
Day 26 your assignment was to go through any unfinished pages in your art journal and ink them all with a base layer of ink (one or two or three...full pages or little squirts here and there).

Today you will add the 2nd layer of inks to add dimension, more color, or use a water spray to take away color!

Here are a few of mine in the process (all dylusions ink sprays just like yesterday):

Ok on to the next one:

 on to the next one:

Ok...now keep going!  Tomorrow we will start adding more dimension by STAMPING background images on all these pages!

How are you doing?  I am hoping wherever you are in your Art Journaling Your Bible Study process, you continue on in this journey!  It is a blessing to take time to stop and think about what God is saying in His Word and get that down on paper!

Blessings,
Antoinette

Day 26: Want to COMPLETE your ART Journal? Speeding up the process:basic background layer #1

Hello friends!
Ok, Day 26.  Time to talk about COMPLETING your art journal.  Yes, you may not be down to your last 2 pages or 10 pages or even 20 pages, but you CANE finish an art journal.  And I'm going to spend the next few days showing you HOW!

Remember in the first week I had a post on how you can do more than one background in a day, then more than one stamping, etc?  Well, that is the method we are going to do to COMPLETE our Art Journal!  I have more than enough Bible study done for the journaling of 31 pages, so lets get these pages COMPLETED!  Who is with me?  (If you have NEVER completed and entire art journal, I highly encourage you to join me...it's liberating to finish your first complete book!)

So, Here's today's task:  Basic Background color....on: every. single. page. you. have. remaining
Yes...you CAN DO THIS!  Get some basic color on each and every page of your remaining blank pages.  I have made this journal fairly focused on using dylusion ink sprays so I continue on:
spray and dry...
 Spray ink; dry pages...
Spray ink; turn page and rub pages together; then open and dry ink...

Keep going until you get through the rest of your pages!
I found using the chocolate and coffee colors were AMAZING together so I made a few similar:
 Absolute favorite page below:
added some yellow into the mix...yum!
So you go until your pages all have color...and I specifically left some pages with only one spritz (as I love a good challenge:

ONE NOTE:  I put redline tape on the back page to stick it to the very back of the journal so I 'end' my journal the way my journal 'started' with a 2 page spread:

And now I've got color on EACH page and we are ready to BUILD the BACKGROUND COLOR tomorrow on Day 27:
See you for more fun on Day 27!!

Now go get your pages colored and have fun!
Blessings,
Antoinette

Day 25: HYMN: Mushrooms and leaves (and a summer sneak peek!)

Hello friends,
Day 25 brings us a sneak peek of a Hymn Girl sitting holding a book (in this case it's the Bible!).  She won't be available until summertime, but I couldn't resist using her in this piece...she fit so perfectly on the mushroom.  Here's how I made the pages using the Inspired Stamps Set in the online store now:  Mushrooms and Leaves:

Here are the finished pages:

So how are you doing with your art journal as we get to the last few days of our challenge?  If you haven't started, why not start today?  If you've only got a handful of pages done, that's ok!  This isn't a race!  It's a journey!

But...for those of you who desire to have your entire art journal filled with the color and Scripture, and thoughts...to have a journal COMPLETED.  Do not give up...Day 26, we are going to kick it into overdrive and I'm going to help you power through to get each page moving right along...
See you then!

Antoinette's new etsy shop!

Hello friends!

A quick post to share my new etsy shop with you!  I've been asked if the artwork I create can be purchased, and have sold several things throughout the years as requested, but I decided it would be easier for me, and for those who are interested in purchasing the artwork, to have a dedicated place where you could purchase it.  Hence our new etsy shop!   I hope you'll stop by and see. I will add items as I can...click on the etsy photo below or on our left-hand sidebar of the blog:

We should have all the art journaling posts for Monday and Tuesday up by Wednesday noon!  Only a week left in our 31 Days of March challenge!  I hope you are enjoying it!

Blessings,
Antoinette

Day 24: 31 Days of Art Journaling your Bible Study

Hello friends,
Day 24 is full of friendship and flowers!  And a sneak peek!  Here is the LOWERCASE version of our NEW Sketchy alphabet that will be in stores in a couple of weeks!  I LOVE LOVE LOVE this alphabet!  We just got the UPPERCASE in the online store and now 2 more sets will be joining it!  In addition you'll find our FLOWERS VALUE SET used in this layout...

I also used one of my staples in my art journaling stamps:  BIND AND STITCH for the stitching:

I colored the flowers with a regular colored pencil I had handy.
I used similar colors that were on the page to color my HYMN GIRLS: FEBRUARY girl
Then I stamped the flowers in black ink (the others were kept in purple ink to blend into the background more) but it looks like she is blowing the flowers up into the page and I love this effect! I also put a piece of washi tape down the center.
I added the new SKETCHY LOWERCASE alphabet to stamp out my verse!

Did my TRUTH FROM THE TEXT and the application journaling on the right side.
Love the way the stamps really work so well on these pages!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Blessings,
Antoinette
